The former president's Granddaughter Receives Professional Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of LPGA First Appearance
The rising star maintains considerable social media following
The young golfer can count on plenty of prominent supporters when she begins her professional golf debut this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, was granted a sponsor's invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, operates several golf courses and often competes against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play some close matches," she revealed.
Kai explained that Trump, unable to come, told her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He basically advised me to compete and enjoy myself," she continued.
"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He won't be there this weekend. He's focused on presidential duties, so he's quite busy."
Being non-professional, the golfer has competed in only three events in 2024 and has the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
Yet she's able to receive tips from golf legend, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He stands as the greatest golfer worldwide," Kai expressed.
"Additionally, he's a more impressive individual. He advised me to compete, relax, adapting to whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against multiple most prominent players in the sport at the competition, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
The LPGA mentioned that her participation brings golf to new audiences, especially reaching the next generation.
The social media influencer boasts a massive following and has started a personal apparel and wellness company.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
