UK Prime Minister Turns to £150bn Funding Package to Counter Criticism Over US President's State Visit

The UK Prime Minister has moved to navigate a politically sensitive state visit by the US President with the revelation of £150bn in American funding for the United Kingdom, as the president remained safely within the grounds of the royal estate.

Substantial Investment Influx

Amid widespread protests in the capital, the US president was escorted by the king and queen through a opening day that ended in a state banquet but kept him away from his critics.

Downing Street announced what was described as the largest ever funding deal in the country, with £150bn pledged from American sources.

Within this amount, £90 billion was a pledge from the investment group the firm to invest in the United Kingdom over the coming ten years. This was in addition to £10 billion the firm had previously allocated to an AI datacentre.
